Spice Announces New Album "Emancipated"

The recently crowned Queen Of Dancehall, Spice, has announced the follow-up to her album "10", the 15-track collection that earned her her first Grammy nomination.

Just a few hours after her official coronation at the 28th staging of Reggae Sumfest, Spice treated fans to a special announcement and informed her supporters that she would be releasing another album this year. The album entitled " Emancipated" is set to drop this summer on August 19th, just a little over a year after "10" was released.

"10" was a triumph for the artiste, who had struggled for years to have it released due to continued friction between her and New York-based record label, VP Records. The album was plagued with delays since 2015 but the Shaggy-produced collection was finally released in 2021 and included hits "Send It Up"  and "Go Down Deh", the latter featuring Shaggy.

Along with announcing her newest album Spice also took some time to thank her  supporters on her Instagram page and wrote:

"Jamaica Thank you for loving me and Supporting me the way you have for the past 20 years. It wasn’t an easy road but you’ve stood beside me and watched me jump over every hurdle, kick down every door, despite all the naysayers we’ve beat the odds together. Besties I love you all so much. Reggaesumfest organizers and Joe Bagdonavich THANK YOU for acknowledging my hard work."
