A twenty-nine-year-old man from St. Andrew was allegedly stabbed and killed as he tried to stop a fight at a football game.

Andre Douglas was reportedly stabbed twice as he attempted to stop a fight that erupted at a football match in Waterhouse, St. Andrew on Saturday.

According to the star, Douglas' friend, 'Joe', said that after Douglas tried to part the people involved in the fight, he walked toward him holding on to his stomach. Joe asked Douglas what was wrong and he removed his hands revealing his wound.

"A part di man apart a fight and end up losing him life fi nothing. Jah knows star," Joe said lamenting the death of his friend.

Douglas's mother, 59-year-old Janet Lee, said that he was never a troublemaker but was always the one that dried for peace. The grieving mother shared with the Star that Douglas, who was her youngest, was also a dedicated father of one who spent as much time as possible with his son who resided next door.

Douglas worked as a warehouse assistant and was one of the founding members of Dreamchaser Promotions, a home-based entertainment company. The investigation into his death is ongoing and no suspect have yet been named.
